Clarification on recent ramblings! moot !Ep8pui8Vw2
Okay so I decided to post here to address some recent problems /a/ has apparently had. First of all, if you chose to grumble on the boards as opposed to emailing me; you're an idiot. I've said time and time again to email me if there are problems. Turning the board into a war zone will more likely get you banned than solve any problems.

Anyway, on to the two points of contention: motivational posters and the anime-ecchi border.

Honestly, I think motivational posters are usually pretty dumb. There *are* pleasant surprises though--I've laughed at a few. My stance on them in /a/ has always been that of "they're harmless, so leave them alone". Technically, they're macros, and thus are against the rules. If you didn't already realize this, go check them again! Still though, if they're contributed to a thread and don't act as a negative, I think they're fine to say. This being said, the images are fine so long as you guys don't start dedicating entire threads to their worship, turning /a/ into "/a/ - IMAGE MACRO APPRECIATION STATION".

As for whether or not nudity can be posted. Nudity isn't worksafe and is thus, against the rules. My personal stance on it has been "if I don't see nipples or vagina, I don't really care". There are exceptions though. Blatant/overtly sexual images should not be posted. There IS an ecchi board for a reason. If you contribute a borderline/mild image of a character to a thread about a show, I think it should stay. Don't go make entire threads dedicated to the stuff though--again, there's an entire board for it!

I hope this clarifies any recent misgivings about rule enforcement/policy. In closing, stop blaming the moderators and janitors for doing their jobs. You ARE technically in violation of the rules when it comes to this stuff. EMAIL ME if there are problems--turning the board into an opinionated bitch-fest will get you banned, as it should.

love,

-mootykins

See, what some outstanding members of society like to do is this -

1. post a worksafe page from a most un-worksafe lolicon doujin
2. wait for the clamours of MOAR, SAUCE from other outstanding members of society
3. provide a rapidshare link

Is this kind of thing allowed? I mean, I know 4chan is stacked full of pedophiles, but I'd rather not be reminded of this every time I see one of these fucking threads.

>> Anonymous
>>1246975
Oh God, I love you moot. You are the voice of reason in a place where there should be none.
>> Spiner !OWPJYRiLro
If you're worried about links perhaps you would be better off starting your own worksafe imageboard instead of staying on 4chan with "Cool stuff from J-List" linked right on this page ir NVDOUJINS, THE FREE DOUJIN LIBRARY, or the links to the zomg pronz across the navbar.

Yeesh.

Besides, in 2002 the Supreme Court of the US ruled that lolikon is legal as long as it isn't indistinguishable from a real child because it falls under free speech. The 18 and over only applies to pornstars because they need to be of age to consent to be recorded performing sexual acts. Because they aren't real, drawings can't give consent nor should they be required to under the law. If someone gets off on it it is a moot (lol) point because it is already against the law to harm children. You can ban lolikon when watching people get killed, raped, humiliated or tortured in movies and television is banned. Seig Heil.

Meanwhile Canada will ban your delicious flat chest doujinshis as child pornography, but apparently REAL 14 years olds are a-ok! Ha.
>> Anonymous
>>1247128

The long and short of it is that regardless of its legal status in any jurisdiction in any country, you are not to post lolicon or link to it on this website.

And since there is such a well publicised alternative, I don't see why the fuck you would in the first place.
>> Spiner !OWPJYRiLro
Also, how many of the characters in the various hentai boards are under the age of 18?

Looks like you need to really get the ban hammer out there if you want to apply laws meant for real people to fictional characters.

As long as /a/ doesn't become a linkdump for anime porn I really don't mind. Don't allow /a/ to become worksafe /h/ though--the focus here is on anime, not its inspired hentai. I'm still having trouble understanding the situation though. Are people creating threads for the sole purpose of posting /h/ Rapidshares? What do you mean by "sell"?
>> te2rx
>>1247136Also, how many of the characters in the various hentai boards are under the age of 18?
"loli" in a practical imageboard sense is determined by body type and not age -- read: flat chest.
Asuka & Rei: /h/
Shana & Louise: /l/
...despite the girls above being approx. the same age. 4chan (I imagine) is simply trying to avoid flak by banning "loli" erotica. But that's not really 4chan's fault as much as it is the world's fault. In the meantime gb2/not4chan.us and all that.

Nothing official from us at idlechan. We are a loosely knit community and while the site stayed up and running while 4chan was dead for the most part, since we allow anyone to be linked in with whatever host they have they might be swamped if it did go down again. The plan was that our main servers would host such boards temporarily, but with the current staff and communication problems with the owner smaller hosts, the switchover of their boards would take a long time.

Maybe 7chan would be capable of it though with their invasions.

Anyway, the last bot program branched from the GNAA one used to hit 4chan a couple of years ago supposedly was able to pick out an image at random from a preset location and post it with whatever text the poster wanted. If they were leaving it blank like a lot of the starting posts on /b/ and turned down the rate, I don't think anyone could detect it except if it was a uniform distance between post times.
